I had such a good time in Glasgow when I was up there for Triptych. I admit
to feeling a little apprehensive before I went, understandably so
considering what happened after last years event but everything was fine
this time.

The plan was that I would get the coach up on Friday [info]cupcakefilms was flying up on Saturday morning and I'd meet her at the Airport. The gig at the Tron started at 4 so we had plenty of time to
shop. I was planning to spend as little money as possible but the lure of
proper girlie shopping with Lisa was too hard to resist. Ok, I 'fess up I
did buy a jacket :( but it was on sale and Lisa bought stuff too so that
makes it practically free. Anyways it was all good and here are the
highlights:

Seeing Ali play again he was amazing and the sound was good

Seeing Cat Power for the first time. Her voice is simply breathtaking. She
sung one line from 'Who knows where the time goes?' by Fairport Convention
and I just welled up

Taking Lisa to Mono (her first time)

Eating far too much food in Mono

Finding a new place to eat called Monster Mash on Byres Road (my
favourite street in the whole world)

Realising that the aforementioned new place would be a great place to have a
Splosh photo-shoot (squeezy Ketchup, mashed potato...)

Deep-fried Ice cream!

Making a face with my leftover food at Mono

Talking to a Swedish man and finding out that the Television Personalities
really are huge in Sweden and that he been to the Chickfactor gig last year
also discussing the difficulties of buying Pastels records from Stephen
Pastel

Stephen Pastel waving to me (yes I know I'm a sad fan girl)

Talking to Katrina and getting so excited about the new album and tour that
I jumped up and down grinning like a loon (literally,no really that's how
sad I am, pity me)

'Our' bus waiting outside the Tramway

Cute babies in Mono

Buying music in Mono and talking to Dep

The only lowlight was again realising that Glasgow is full of really good
looking people :(
